Terms of Business

  • All Clients be deemed o have accepted Pads and Paws Terms of Business, and have read and accepted these terms upon signature of booking form.
  • No bookings are confirmed until the booking form is filled out and signed.
  • Full payment for all of our services is to be paid within 7 days of the completion of our contract with you.  We only accept Cash or Cheques (cheques to be made payable to pads and paws), if payment is not made within this time a charge of 2.5% of the total bill will be added for each day the payment is overdue.
  • The Client must provide is with the name and address of a local Vet who you would like us to contact should the need arise.
  • The Client must provide us with a name, address and telephone number of someone who would be capable of making any decision relating to the pets in an Emergency.  By providing us with a contact you are agreeing that this person has your permission to act on your behalf and any decisions that are made by your designated contact will not reflect or have any liability to Pads and Paws.  If your contract is not available Pads and Paws reserve the right to consult with a Veterinary Surgeon and then to make a decision which is in the best interest of the animal.
  • Pads and Paws must be made aware of any behavioural problems that your pet may have.  Failure to do so may result in additional charges or cancellation of any future contract.
  • Pads and Paws are fully insured for Public and Third Party Liability and Care Custody Control but wherever possible pets should be insured by the client.
  • Pads and Paws will care for your pets to the highest standards in your absence, however we will not be liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside the home whilst in our care.
  • Pads and Paws will not be held liable for any damage or loss to the client’s property either inside or out.
  • All pets must be fully vaccinated and on a regular flea and worm treatment regime.
  • Pads and paws reserve the right to cancel any contract at anytime and with immediate affect.
  • The client must provide Collars and Leeds for the dos; dogs will not be walked off the leash.  It is strongly advised that cats are micro chipped or wear collars with contact details.
  • Pads and paws can not be held responsible for free-roaming outdoor pets in the event of illness, injury loss or death.
  • The Client must phone Pads and Paws as soon as they return home.  Should we not be contacted then we will continue our contract with you, until you have confirmed that your property and your pets are back in your care, you will be charged at a pro rata basis.
  • Your property will be maintained to a normal standard but Clients are asked to note that Pads and Paws are not cleaners.
  • Clients may telephone at any time during the day to check on their pets either by telephoning 01803 665364 or their home number.
  • We will always confirm your reservation with us the day before the assignment is due to start.
  • Pads and Paws will endeavour to vacate your home before you are due back, so that you are not inconvenienced, and we ask you to inform us of the time that you are due back.  If you are delayed then please call and we can make further arrangements for your pets care and welfare.
  • The Client will provide a key at the time of the initial free visit, and be returned on completion of the contract.
  • It is the Clients responsibility to pet-proof any area of the home to which the pet has access.
  • Your property must be secure with all external door and window locks working and fully operational.  We reserve the right to employ a tradesman to remedy any security problems with the property, and you will be charges for the additional costs.  It is paramount to us that Pads and Paws, your pets and your property are kept safe.
  • Pads and Paws will not pass on your details to other companies or bodies.  Your details will always be treated as private and confidential.

DEFINITION OF TERMS
‘We’, ‘Us’, ‘our’ means Pads and Paws, Boxers Retreat, 61 Blatchcombe Road, Paignton, Devon, TQ3 2JY.
‘You’, ‘Your’ means the person who makes and signs and agrees a contract with Pads and Paws.
This Person is also the pet owner and the owner of the property.
